The Windows Era of Touhou Project began in 2002 with the release of Embodiment of Scarlet Devil and continuing on to present day with the latest title being the 19th mainline entry Unfinished Dream of All Living Ghost.

This era contains variety of works outside of games such as official manga, a magazine, books and music CDs. While the mainline games are bullet hell shooters, there are also a few fighting game spinoffs made in collaboration with the circle Twilight Frontier.

Most fan content focuses on this era of Touhou as it is the more expansive of the two eras, and all mainline games from Touhou 9 (Phantasmagoria of Flower View) onward are available to buy on Steam in Japanese.
